Business email on your own domain
An address at your own domain — you@yourcompany.com rather than a
free one — with mailboxes for your staff. Set up and paid for in birr from the TalariCloud
wallet you already have, and read in Woyra Mail.
Why the address matters more than it should
A customer deciding whether to send money to a business they found online has very little to go on. The address the invoice came from is one of the few things they can check in a second, and a free webmail address quietly answers the question the wrong way — not because it is insecure, but because anybody can make one in a minute, and everybody knows it.
An address at a domain you own says something a free one cannot: somebody registered this, somebody is paying for it, and it can be traced back to a business. That is the whole argument, and it costs less than most businesses spend on a signboard.
What you get
Your domain, verified before anything moves
Add the domain you already own and we show you the DNS records to paste at your registrar, then check them for you. Each one is reported separately — that you own the domain, that mail sent as you will be trusted, and finally that mail should be delivered here. Nothing about your current email changes until the last of those, and that step is yours to take.
Mailboxes for the people who need them
Create an address for each member of staff as you hire. Each mailbox comes with its own credentials, shown to you once when it is created: hand them to the person, and issue a fresh password later when the address passes to somebody else. When somebody leaves, pause the mailbox and nothing in it is lost; delete it when you are sure.
Addresses that outlive the person answering them
sales@ and support@ point at whoever should answer today. When
that changes, you change where they point — without telling a single customer to write to
a new address, and what was already sent stays in the mailbox it was delivered to.
One wallet, one bill
Email is charged to the same prepaid wallet as your apps and databases, a month at a time, in birr — by bank deposit or Telebirr — or in USD. No second invoice, no foreign card, and no renewal date that arrives while the person who used to pay it has left.
Read and send in Woyra Mail
Your staff read and write in Woyra Mail, a fast, modern web mail client built by the company that runs the mailboxes. The account owner opens any mailbox from TalariCloud in one click; staff without a TalariCloud account sign in to Woyra Mail with their address and password.
Pause and resume, with nothing lost
Pause a mailbox and every message in it stays where it is; resume it and it carries on. If the wallet runs dry the same thing happens, and a top-up brings it back on its own.
It is part of the platform, not an add-on beside it
TalariCloud runs applications, databases, object storage, queues and CI for Ethiopian businesses, billed in birr from one wallet. Mail is set up and paid for beside them rather than as a separate subscription with a separate vendor and a separate invoice. The one thing that lives elsewhere is the mail client itself, Woyra Mail, which is where your staff read and write — and which you open from TalariCloud in a click.
Questions
Do I need to own a domain already?
Yes — mail at your own domain needs a domain you control. If you already have one, add it and paste the records we give you at your registrar. If you do not, buy one first; it is the cheapest part of this and it is yours, not ours, which is the point.
Will my existing email stop working while I set this up?
No. Verification happens before anything moves: you prove the domain is yours and set up the records that let mail be sent as you, and your current mail carries on arriving where it always has. Mail only changes hands when you change the MX record, which is a deliberate step you take when you are ready.
Do my staff need a TalariCloud account to read their mail?
No. Mail is read in Woyra Mail, a web mail client that runs in a browser with nothing to install. The account owner opens any mailbox from TalariCloud in one click, with no second password. Staff who do not have a TalariCloud account sign in to Woyra Mail with their mailbox address and the password you are shown once, when the mailbox is created; you can issue a new one at any time, which also signs out whoever had the old one.
How is it billed?
Per mailbox, a month at a time, from the same prepaid TalariCloud wallet as your apps and databases — topped up in birr by bank deposit or Telebirr, or in USD. There is no second invoice and no foreign card. We quote on request against the number of people you actually intend to give an address to.
What happens if I stop paying, or pause a mailbox?
Nothing is deleted. A mailbox that is paused, by you or because the wallet ran dry, keeps every message; it simply stops sending and receiving until it is resumed, and a top-up resumes it on its own. Only deleting a mailbox removes its mail, and that is a separate, deliberate step.
Can I use Outlook or the mail app on my phone?
Not yet. Woyra Mail is a web client, used in a browser, and there is no IMAP or app connection today. If that matters to your team, say so when you ask for a quote and we will tell you plainly rather than promise it.
Put your business on its own address
Tell us your domain and how many people need an address, and we will come back with what it costs, in writing, in birr or USD.
